I had spent a lot of time trying to decide what school to put him in. I was so happy that after only 2 days on the waiting list, he had a spot at the Ramona Community School. It’s one of the few public Montessori programs in California. I really think this is going to be the right place for him.
Everyone was so nice. I stood in the back of the room getting all misty eyed while Mr. A. jumped into the circle, as if he had been doing it forever. He seemed really at ease. He talked and charmed the teacher, as only he can do.
Surprisingly, he was not the most talkative. There was another little boy that never stopped! I was actually really happy about that.
Not surprising was that he was taller than every one else. I guess being in the 100 percentile for height will do that.
I’m not sure what to expect on Monday. He seems perfectly happy and excited to go. I don’t tend to be an emotional person but I don’t know if I will be able to hold it together. I’ll let you know.
