I am SO excited!

Anthony is a “cool trick” freak.  He loves to watch juggling, tumbling, flipping, martial arts, dancing, etc. etc.  He loves it all.  Whenever performance artists are on the TV he comes to watch and you can just see the happiness across his face and the wheels turning in his head as he wonders how he can do it, too.  It’s one of the things I find amazing about children in general.  Their wonder at the things that are wonderful.

The Ellen Show is good for having these types of artists on and recently she actually had a Cirque du Soleil Juggling artist on.  It also happened to be that this man’s name was Anthony.  Boy, my Mr. A. was in heaven!  We had to rewind and watch it several times.  It was this day that I thought, “I should take Anthony to see a Cirque du Soleil show.”

Low and behold, KOOZA.

KOOZA will be in San Diego from February 25th to March 21st at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.

Cirque du Soleil is proud to return to San Diego with its critically acclaimed big top production KOOZA. Proudly presented by iShares, KOOZA will premiere on Thursday, February 25 for a limited engagement under the trademark blue-and-yellow Grand Chapiteau (big top) at Del Mar Fairgrounds in San Diego.

KOOZA is a return to the origins of Cirque du Soleil that combines two circus traditions – acrobatic performance and the art of clowning. The show highlights the physical demands of human performance in all its splendor and fragility, presented in a colorful mélange that emphasizes bold slapstick humor.

I was provided two passes to the press preview (ooh, fancy) this coming Wednesday.  I am so excited to take Anthony.  It’s going to be a big deal for him considering that the show starts right at his normal bedtime, 7:30PM.  I’ve decided to keep him home from school on Thursday seeing as it’s going to be a really late night for us.  Does that make me a bad mom?  Oh well.  I don’t care.  I think this will be something really special for him and I can’t wait to just watch his face!

KOOZA Tickets are still available online or by calling 1-800-450-1480

I’ll be back on Thursday to tell you all about it!

Has anyone been to a Cirque du Soleil show before?  This will be my first.  If you’ve been, tell me what you thought.
