RICHMOND – Western Prince William Del. Bob Marshall (R-13th) says disabled children are God’s punishment to women who have aborted their first pregnancy.
He made that statement last Thursday at a press conference to oppose state funding for Planned Parenthood.
“The number of children who are born subsequent to a first abortion with handicaps has increased dramatically. Why? Because when you abort the first born of any, nature takes its vengeance on the subsequent children,” said Marshall, a Republican.
“In the Old Testament, the first born of every being, animal and man, was dedicated to the Lord. There’s a special punishment Christians would suggest.”

So, yeah. You can click on the Gainsville Times link above to read the whole story. Basically, this guy is out crusading against Planned Parenthood. Ok. I get that. Whatever. I’m not going to debate here whether abortion is okay or not. It’s a deeply personal choice that only an individual woman can make. My issue here is that this ASS thinks that children born with disabilities are a Punishment from God.
Are you freaking kidding me?
What Bible is this guy reading? What passage is he twisting to fit this crack head agenda?
I have a nephew who is 12 years old and he was born with Cerebral Palsy. He is a beautiful BLESSING. Our lives would be incomplete without him, disability and all. His mother never had an abortion either. So what’s Delegate Marshall’s reasoning for this one? You can not tell me for one second that his disability is any form of punishment from MY God.
Anyways, if you agree that this politician is a giant ASS HAT, then contact him and tell him so.
