A big part of participating in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure ® is the fund raising. Each walker is required to raise $2300.00 before they can walk.
This is a bold event with bold goals!
I am very lucky that I was chosen as the Energizer ® Keep Going ® Blogger for this years San Diego walk. By representing them, they donated the full $2300.00 on my behalf! This makes my own personal fund raising a lot less stressful…but not any less important.
Susan. G. Komen for the Cure ® entire mission is to raise money and awareness for breast cancer and it’s treatments. So, just because I don’t have to fund raise, doesn’t mean I don’t have to fund raise. Understand? And because I’m walking with my best friend since high school (Hi Mindy!) and she doesn’t have an amazing sponsor, I’m fund raising for her.
With that being said, don’t forget that I am selling ribbons!
You can donate a minimum of $5.00 and I will write a name on a ribbon and wear it on my shirt during the 3-day for the Cure walk. I am doing this to remind myself of who is fighting this disease! Click on the button above and you will be taken to my page with instructions on how to buy a ribbon.
August 21st Rummage Sale!
On the 21st we (Mindy & I) will be hosting a rummage sale at my house in Ramona. We will have an ad in the Ramona Sentinel paper. If you live in the area and would like the address, just contact me and I’ll be happy to share the location. I just don’t feel it’s a good idea to post my address in this post. But if you are my friend in the area, I would love for you to stop by!
August 28th Table at the Ramona Albertsons
We will have a table set up at the Starbucks entrance of the store. We will be selling t-shirts (my own design!), cute pink ribbon items, Partylite candles and baked goods! Of course, we’ll be accepting monetary donations as well if none of our items float your boat. Here is my t-shirt design:
I’m really excited about these upcoming fund raisers. I hope we can raise a good amount towards Mindy’s $2300.00 goal! Please, if you live in the Ramona area, come visit us! You can meet the Keep Going ® blogger for San Diego and support a fantastic organization!
