Quick Recap in case you missed it:  I have a mysterious pain in my right foot.  It’s the top of my foot, in line with my big toe.  All indicators suggest a stress fracture, but my doctor took X-rays and told me it’s “fine.”  So I spent about 10 days off of it “resting” and I now have a handy prescription for Motrin.

Fast forward to this week.  Motrin doesn’t do squat for the pain in my foot and it’s not going away.

This is where I really want to curse, but I’ll spare you.  You’re welcome.

It’s so frustrating to have something hurt and have no answers.

In any case, I’ve started walking again this week.  I’ve kept it short and have been walking at our high school track so that I am near my car “just in case.”

It feels really good to be out walking!

I love to go out without the kids and have grown up time with my walking buddies.  It’s even fun to just be alone.  After spending the day with children following me around, it’s nice not to be needed for a bit.  I’ve really come to enjoy my walks and I so wish I could go further without having issues.  The San Diego 3 Day for the Cure is only 11 weeks away!  I don’t have time to be dilly-dallying around now.

Anthony’s homeschool program has a weekly community class that happens every Tuesday.  I found out yesterday that I will have 3 hours to myself every Tuesday!  Isn’t that sweet?  And do you know what I’m going to do with my free time?  Why, walk.  Of course.  If anyone lives in the Santee, CA area and are free to walk on Tuesday mornings, let me know!  I could use the company.

It’s going good.  We had a Rubio’s dinner on the 1st.  I am still waiting for the grand total.  I’ll have a post all about it as soon as they post our totals.  If you are looking for another fund raiser for your own walk, check them out.  It’s a great program and it doesn’t take any effort at all to pull it off.

This Friday, we will be having BINGO for BOOBIES.  I’m way excited about this.  I have several companies that have sponsored prizes and supplies for the event.  I think it will be great and we have at least 30 people that will be attending (hopefully I’ll find more as I track down RSVP’s).  Stay tuned for that!

Anybody have other good fund raising ideas?  My brain is thinking about the upcoming Halloween holiday and ways to incorporate a fund raiser in there…

Maybe a ghoulish spaghetti and meatball dinner?
