Where Were You?

Budwiser tribute commercial that supposedly only aired on TV one time.  Not sure if this is true, but it’s super cool either way.

I was living in El Cajon, CA with my fiance’ Bob and my friend Suzanne.  I don’t remember where Suzanne was that morning, but she wasn’t there.  Bob and I were getting ready for work.  I had gotten out of the shower and turned the TV on like I did all mornings to watch the news.

I sat glued to the television watching the horror that was unfolding.  One plane had already hit, the second one had not at this point.  I called for Bob to come out of the bathroom and come see what was happening.

I remember going to work that morning thinking what kind of craziness it all was.

I worked at a bank then.  I remember customers coming in all day and it was all they talked about.  Since I was in the lobby and not watching a TV I got all the latest details from them.  Accounts of the second plane hitting, visions of people jumping (which still gives me goosebumps), the towers falling.  It was all very surreal.

The days that followed were the worse.  I could not stop watching the television.  Over and over and over I watched the towers fall and I cried.

God bless America.

Where were you?

I was driving to work and I heard it was on the radio it was around 6 am our time which would have right about the time they were hitting in the Twin Towers.
At first they didn’t know and then more reports came in. All of sudden my whole life was consumed with radio and TV watching a listening over and over.
At that time my brother lived in NY, I was very worried about him.
We only worked e few hours and ten they sent us home. I went home and continued to watch TV for the next few days crying and feeling sad.
This has changed my life for ever “I WILL NEVER FORGET”.

I was driving my son to preschool and they were talking about it on the radio, but I didn’t know what they were talking about. I dropped him off and came home and turned on the television. I was in shock, I couldn’t believe that this was happening in the United States. I had to get my husband out of bed, so he could watch the news and he was shocked just like I was.

I was getting ready for work when I heard the news on the TV. I ended up calling in that day to stay home safe with my family. Your post gave me the chills, remembering that day….
