Last weekend I took the boys to one of my favorite places to go in San Diego, Bates Nut Farm.
We always have a great time feeding the animals in the little farm and running around. The store is full of unique gifts and home made items, bulk candy, seasonings, etc. There is no entry fee to visit and different seasons have different activities. Right now, it’s pumpkin patch time!
They offer tractor rides, corn mazes and pony rides (these attractions have a small fee). When we went, we just had the best time running around in the “Big Mac” pumpkin patch and visiting the animals. You can buy a bag of feed for .50 cents. It’s the best buck fifty to spend for lots of entertainment ($1.50 because I need three bags!).
Anyhow, the boys got their pumpkins. There was a huge variety of sizes and styles. My favorite are the “princess” pumpkins even though I didn’t get myself one.
Bates changes with the seasons, but it’s a lot of fun to visit all year round if you are in the San Diego area. Bates Nut Farm is in Valley Center, just outside of Escondido.
Tell me what makes your pumpkin patch so special?
PS: This isn’t a sponsored post. I just love Bates. Kinda sucks that I even have to say this.
