Jillian only wants to walk with her sister, but her insurance company is screwing her out of that dream.
This beautiful little girl who is living with Cerebral Palsy has an appointment on Wednesday September 21st for her second round of Botox injections. The Botox is a proven effective therapy for CP that relaxes the muscles and allows the person with CP to actually walk pain-free. It’s AMAZING the way it helps people with Cerebral Palsy. You can see video’s on Cheryl’s post linked above.
The hospital where Jillian receives her therapy has granted her family $561 dollars towards the $1000 treatment. So we only need to raise $439.00.

PS: Cheryl won’t ask for donations and she did not ask me to do this. She’ll probably be mad at me but I don’t care. What Manulife Financial is doing to this little family is wrong and I can’t stand that insurance bureaucracy is going to prevent this child from walking.

**Thursday Night Update**
As of this moment, Jillian has received over $700.00 in cash donations. Can you say, “HOLY COW!?” I really need to get a Thesaurus out so I can look up another word besides “amazing” because it’s all I seem to be saying lately. How else do I describe people that come together for the little people? AMAZING!
While we have raised enough cash to pay for Jillian’s Wednesday Botox appointment (YAY!!), we have decided to go ahead with the auction. In the case that the crappy insurance company does not come through and cover future injections, then Cheryl’s family will save the auction proceeds to go towards her Winter appointment. If we get lucky and the insurance decides to do the right thing by paying, then Cheryl will donate the auction funds back to the Holland Bloorview Children’s Fund so that another family can receive treatment.

You’ve got money lady! I sent a donation. It isn’t the $400+ we need, but it is a start. If everyone could give a little I know we could keep Jillian’s appointment and then hopefully by the next round, the insurance company will see the light. It is a shame when strangers and friends on the Internet have to pick up the slack of a multi-million dollar insurance company. Shame on Manulife.

Cheryl has found a really great friend!!! As much as I would like to help her by donating I am also in the process of funding for my daughter Jillianne who has Cerebral Palsy! I will however pass this along to my friends and hopefully we can get the funds she needs. Good Luck!
