It is not real often that a blogger like me comes out and does a product review without actually receiving the item to try for free.  It’s just the way it is, this is a business after all.  But, sometimes someone like me gets an item so fabulous that she decides to share her experience with the world…that is me today.

At Christmas my oldest son asked Santa for a camera.  I was pleased to see that Santa had brought him a Fujifilm FinePix XP20 Camera
that boasted it was dust proof, freeze proof, water proof and shock proof.  It sounded PERFECT for a naturally destructive seven year old.

My son has toted this thing around with him now for six months.  The pictures are good (he is only 7 after all), it is easy enough to download the pictures to his computer that he can do it by himself and he loves making silly videos with it.  Amazingly enough, he hasn’t lost it either (yet).

Yesterday I was pulling the kids’ jeans out of the washer to dry and what do you think I found in the bottom of the washing machine?

Yep, one Fujifilm FinePix XP20 Camera!

I was SO upset and angry at my son for leaving this camera in his pocket.  But then I was pissed off at myself for not checking all their pockets first (really…I should be doing this!).  I knew this camera cost around $160 freaking dollars at Christmastime and was just SICK that it got washed.

Out of desperation I went ahead and tried to turn the camera on and I’ll be darned if the thing didn’t turn on!  It powered right up, I snapped a picture of Anthony, the flash worked, IT WAS FINE!

*Happy Dance*

So if you are looking for a camera that is good with destructive and forgetful kids, or if you are a destructive and forgetful adult, then I would highly recommend you checking out the Fujifilm FinePix XP20 Camera!  The sucker takes a washen and keeps on clickin!
