It is day 3 of my 21 Day Sugar Detox. I’m feeling great and happy to be getting back on track. I really wasn’t doing so bad and I generally eat a sugar-free Paleo diet anyways but, a friend asked me “why are you bothering with another sugar detox?” Well, the answer is because I’ve had way too many “oh, just this once” days lately and I think it is why my weight-loss has stalled. I’ve been plateaued for about two months now and it’s getting really frustrating!
Here is what I’ve eaten today, I tend to keep it pretty simple. Paleo shouldn’t be hard.
Three eggs, three slices of bacon, spinach and mushrooms.
I grilled a piece of chicken breast on my George Foreman Grill this morning and chopped it up over some mixed salad greens. I had a dressing of simple olive oil and red wine vinegar.
I was hungry today when I got home so I sliced up a green apple and topped it with some almond butter.
I cooked up two hamburger patties on my George Foreman grill (LOVE my George!) and topped them with chopped bacon, mushrooms and asparagus. I ended up only eating one patty because I had a huge amount of asparagus and quite frankly, the veggie topping tasted better than the burger! Not sure why…perhaps it was all the bacon?
Which leads me to wonder…what CAN’T you put bacon on?
