This weeks topic: Write about your first name—why you were given it, what stories are attached to it, what does it mean? noun /ˈrēə/ A large flightless bird of South American grasslands, resembling a small ostrich, with grayish-brown plumage BORING. I hate that I have the same name as a big ugly bird. BUT “Rhea” is also…. Rhea (or as Greek Ῥέᾱ) is the second-largest moon of Saturn and the ninth largest moon in the Solar System. It was discovered in 1672 by Giovanni Domenico Cassini. I had a hard time finding a program that would interest my ADHD child and I had a hard time finding the creativity to keep him wanting to learn. This year I had not one, but TWO more kids entering the school-age mix and I had a decision to make. Did I want to struggle with my life, to educate three boys and juggle finances to make ends meet? Was keeping them out of school worth the stress of digging for change and recycling cans to put groceries on the table? ...
